Salsa Habanero Yucateca
Our salsa habanero recipe is perfect for the Mexican food fanatics who enjoy a bit of a spice. Chock full of habanero chillies, this recipe is not for the faint hearted, & while you can try & tame the heat by removing the seeds, this salsa is made to ignite the senses.

Ingredients
- 10 Habanero chillies
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 oranges
- 1 lime
- Rock salt to taste
Cooking Instructions
- Roast the habaneros & garlic until they’re well roasted.
- In a mortar & pestle (or molcajete), smash the garlic with rock salt, then add the roasted habaneros & continue smashing.
- Mix in the juice of the oranges & lime until well combined.
- Taste & adjust salt if necessary.
